Jerusalem, an invitation to war?
Colourful in every land of its display, a path of mass history and a name that’s always at the forefront of every political conversation but Jerusalem is also the envy of the three main religions of the world wanting a chunk of its land which they each its own rightful way redeem as theirs. To say that these three groups can co-exist in today’s world is far from the truth but will making Jerusalem the capital of Israel finally give away its last barrier that has somehow been held up for many years and unleash a full-blown war in all directions.
It is well known of the Palestinian and Israeli conflict but the issue roots are far deeper seeded than that, let alone will it ignite flame and tensions that already exist in the region but recognising Jerusalem as a capital and giving the green light to Israel not only crosses all fractions of peace but is a major red line for the millions of Muslims across the world with the majority borderline to Israel and considering Israel is a unjustified conquered land which is illegal in many ways and which technically shouldn’t exist at all on the map it seems to roam free given its human rights violations. However there is no denying Jewish roots are strong in its history in this land stating this the ultimate and only land belonging to them but is this why Israel is given this privilege by world leaders in the first place or is there a deeper Zionist movement involved?
The establishment of the typical justification for years has been the fact that Israel are god’s chosen children to say and therefore are protecting itself against enemies who are obliterating to abolish them, crying wolf against the same scenario has in fact given the many go ahead’s of atrocities’ and illegal settlements they commit as justification while the world turns a blind eye. Not forgetting that the hand shake of the Saudi regime and Israel is so strong that destroying any surrounding nations between them gives the UN and other world leaders a no say to their political agendas. To be on a sensitive nature one is to say that the Jerusalem of Israel of today is not the reason behind this, but we have to remember that this has its roots thousands of years back where Islam, Judaism and even Christianity consider this the holiest place in the world. Yet in 2017 and the decline of religion it is needless to say that concepts and ideologies of the holiest place on earth is still an ongoing battle ingrained in religion that is very much alive today. Christians are waiting for a waging war to start in Jerusalem so the second coming of Jesus can be hastened, the Jews and Muslims have their creed on so called anti-Christ arising from this very place, it is therefore crucial to these faiths that they have their place and hasten events so they can all manifest a belief on the end coming time on who was right. But this belief effects millions if not more across the world looking and anticipating, it is why the very land of Jerusalem is a jewel waiting to be planted. Needless to say, man cannot co-exist with another man in today’s world, it is easy to say divide the land and co-exist together peacefully but if the cake is eaten by one all other rules are thrown out the window and this bond of Israeli ally is not breakable although the US-Israeli alliance is one of convenience, the problems in the Middle East are so intractable that it may as well be permanent, and it is incredibly naive to believe that if a peace deal were brokered between a torn Palestinian state and the state of Israel it would be enough to diminish tensions in the region.

However, when you have the most powerful countries in the world such as the US and Saudi Arabia making a red carpet an compliance which in many years it has managed to postpone and now it’s finally on the verge of saying yes you ask yourself the question why, after all politics and religion have always had their fair share but who benefits who? Foremost there is no denying truth that Israel is a strategic asset to the United states with significant benefits. For decades the core reason of the support from the US have been the citing of shared values, common democracy, mutual experience in fighting for freedom, roots in Judeo-Christian culture and civilisation, and commitment to the right of nations to live in security. Ironic to say it is very hypocritical considering the only mutual experience between the two is invading foreign lands, establishing their own laws and destabilising security in other regions. The world is already torn with many millions suffering by so called religious slaughter not in the name of religion but in the name of conquer and divide and according to the US it is a moral responsibly to morally look after the Jewish people of Israel who are a minority been attacked by wolves, also hence the covering of their own guilt of the holocaust victim nation but then who looks after the Muslims who populate the majority of 70% of Israel and its borders. How is it possible that a minority can get a strong footing on a majority Islamic land but history always differs and states that this land went back and forth with many battles between different hands, it is therefore considered a no man’s land and if it is to be shared it should be given equal rights to all three faiths who lay claim. However, with the turn of the century and the rise of World leaders as its protector and asset it can basically do anything and make any new law it considers fit and with the surrounding Islamic countries in destruction in the middle east you have no strong leader to make even a slight opposition without them getting obliterated, hence taking away the very essence of fair play in war. While the people of the west can do their demo, sign boards, rallies and criticize, at the end your voice is silenced as it makes no difference when the decision is already made prior to any moves. In many policies the outcome of many is a simple pick and choose according to what serves them better. You should not be asking why Israel has significant political power over the US as much but also be asking why United States uses its significant political power to aid Israel out of its own geopolitical interests in order to advance its regional goals. There are many reasons although some may say that religion is treated as a way of crowd control and religious excuses has always been the guise and this is more of politics money and land.
The fact is that any law the US passes is a law considered a done deal and not only does the world give into this it also takes part in acknowledging and giving credit to an illegal state that exists on stolen land, but with the decision pending on the capital of Israel this will unleash a domino of catastrophic events worsening situations in hostile territories which already consist of killings, racism, hate crimes against religion and unjust moral laws while all along protecting to serve its own interests, in simple terms it is deafening to the invitation of war knocking on the door.
